He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Katona and Mary Katona (Guti). He is survived by: his spouse Cirene; his son Kurt Katona; his grandsons, Christopher Lee Katona and Kyle Jaymz Katona; his great grandchildren, Aubriella and Kayden Katona; his brother Frank Katona (Donna Katona); his siblings' children, Jennifer Rae, Frank Katona II and Kenneth Katona; his sister Marianne Chavez (Arthur Chavez); his nephews, Michael and Dennis Chavez; his stepchildren, Pablo Carneiro, Jean Carneiro and Aline Carneiro; his stepgrandchildren, Agatha DaSilva (Max), Cleo Docu, Junior Docu and Beatriz DaSilva; his cousins, Frankie Oglin and Jeff Oglin; his close friends, Phillip Mazzaro, Josiane Ferreira, Dina, Luiz, Phillip Martins, Nadir, Jovanette and Guilherme Oliveira; and his pet Chaenny.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Pistey Funeral Home (2611 Main St, Stratford, CT 06615).
