With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Bouchard of Kensington, Connecticut, born in Caribou, Maine, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 2, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Richard may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Adam Bouchard and Angeline Bouchard; and his sister Joyce Glynn. He is survived by: his children, Mary Susanne Sorrentino (John) of Poughkeepsie, NY, Kevin Bouchard (Katie) of Kensington, CT, Kathy Sanger (Doug Bulmer) of Seabrook, NH and Michelle Kumm (Alan) of Berlin, CT.. He is also survived by his eleven grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Paul's Church (485 Alling St, Kensington, CT 06037). The military honors will be held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Connecticut State Veteran Cemetery (317 Bow Ln, Middletown, CT 06457).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Richard's memory may be made to either the Memory Care Unit at KindCare Assisted Living, 483 N.
