It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gertrude M. Greenleaf (Bristol, Connecticut), who passed away on September 3, 2025, at the age of 105, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfons Mayrhofer and Mary Mayrhofer (Spielman); and her siblings, Cecelia, Rita Mayrhofer, Elizabeth Morse and Richard Mayrhofer.
She is survived by: her children, David Greenleaf of Bristol, Anne Scott (Brian) of Farmington, Jerome Greenleaf (Cathy) of Bristol, Joan Greenleaf-Czasonis (Tom) of Avon and Alfred Greenleaf, Jr. of Bristol; her grandchildren, Trudianne Formica of Bethany, Chris Scott (Cynthia Nelson) of Farmington, Morgan DelRio (Alex) of Mahwah, NJ, Sara Czasonis (Kyle Fitzgerald) of Boxborough, MA, Kelsey Greenleaf of Meriden, Monica Greenleaf of Salem, MA and Logan Greenleaf of Bristol; her grandchildren-in-law, Kim Scott of Farmington and Rich Formica of New Haven; and her great grandchildren, Carly (Andrew), Anthony, Christopher, Alexa, Sierra, Alex, Frankie, Victoria, Alexander and Cassin. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Funk Funeral Home (35 Bellevue Ave, Bristol, CT 06010). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, September 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph Church (33 Queen St, Bristol, CT 06010).
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church, 149 Goodwin St., Bristol or to St. Jude's Research Hospital, Memphis, TN.
