With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Burnette Jr. of Bantam, Connecticut, who passed away on September 2, 2025 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John M. Burnette, Sr. and Helen J. Burnette of New Milford; his sister Lori Rushia (Paul); his brother-in-law Daniel Sharpe; and his niece Kristen L. Burnette of Beacon Falls, CT..
He is survived by: his sisters, Maureen Colby (Hank) and Barbara Sharpe; his daughters, Carrie Burnette (Kimo Russell) of Beacon Falls, CT and Kelly Burnette of Brookfield, CT; his grandchildren, Zachary Burnette, Logan Russell, Chrystal Sheehan and Xander Dejesus; and his pet Buddy Burnette. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Thurston Rowe Funeral Home (283 Torrington Rd, Litchfield, CT 06759). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Morningside Cemetery (21 S Kent Rd, Gaylordsville, CT 06755).
