It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James J. Flannery of West Haven, Connecticut, who passed away on September 6, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Ellen J. Moran Flannery; his children, RoseMary Ritch (Kevin) of Ridgefield and James B. Flannery (Michelle) of Bethany; his grandchildren, Macie and Riley Flannery; and his siblings, John Flannery (Anne), Joseph Flannery and Helen Hunt.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Porto Funeral Home (830 Jones Hill Rd, West Haven, CT 06516). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John Xxiii Parish in St. John Vianney Church (300 Captain Thomas Blvd, West Haven, CT 06516).
