He was predeceased by: his wife E. Maude "Dobbie" McGrane (Dobson); his parents, Theodore McGrane and Gertrude McGrane (O'Keefe); and his son-in-law Charles Olmstead. He is survived by: his children, John H. McGrane (Denise) of Farmington, Glenn F. McGrane (Barbara) of Harwinton, Mark D. McGrane (Alisa) of Austin, TX and Elaine McGrane Olmstead of Boxborough, MA; his grandchildren, Sarah Obremski, Calley Bangs and Bryan McGrane; and his great grandchildren, Ava Obremski, Hope Obremski, Makayla Obremski, Finley McGrane and Rowan McGrane. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home (258 Prospect St, Torrington, CT 06790). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Lourdes Shrine (50 Montfort Rd, Litchfield, CT 06790). A burial will be held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 at 11:15 AM at the New St. Francis Cemetery (863 S Main St, Torrington, CT 06790).
