We are sad to announce that on September 7, 2025, at the age of 91, Rita Cyr of Enfield, Connecticut passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let her loved ones carry forward the torch of her memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of her love and the brilliance of her spirit. Though Rita may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was predeceased by: her husband Roger Cyr; her parents, Ligorie Gervais and Marie Gervais (Deschaine); and her daughter Linda Polinski. She is survived by: her daughter Diane Wallace of Enfield; her grandson Theodore Polinski, Jr.; and her great grandchildren, Katelyn, Madison and Theodore Polinski III. She is also survived by two brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM and on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels (61 S Rd, Enfield, CT 06082). A Mass will be held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Family Church (23 Simon Rd, Enfield, CT 06082). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
