He was predeceased by: his parents, Gladys Ewing and Merle Ewing. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Barr; and his children, John (Sophie), Chris (Susan) and Laura (Don Mei). He is also survived by four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
