He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Harold Newell and Georgia Newell (Abbott); his children, Donna Woodward and Jeffrey Newell; and his brothers, Burtram Newell, Dave Newell, Fred Newell and Clive Newell.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Newell (Woodfield); his daughter Cheryl Newell (Edwin Gammon, III); his sister Leora Greatorex; and his friends, Lucy and Ed Stanisz. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
