It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Filakovsky Jr. of Shelton, Connecticut, who passed away on September 21, 2025, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Christine Filakovsky (Soltis); and his parents, William J. Filakovsky and Marie Filakovsky (Boos). He is survived by: his close friend Henry Mazako; his children, Amanda Filakovsky (Dennis Griffin), Lindsey Filakovsky (James Hazelip), Vanessa Frano (Gary Frano) and Valerie Pennatto (Michael Wendland); his grandchildren, Colin, Jade, Harper Frano, Ava Pennatto, Brendon Palmieri, Jaylin Ribeiro, Adalind Filakovsky, Anthony, Autumn and Allorah Pennatto; and his brothers, Robert and Richard Filakovsky. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Riverview Funeral Home (390 River Rd, Shelton, CT 06484). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, his family asks that memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to help with his funeral expenses.
