It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Frances McMenamey of Trumbull, Connecticut, who passed away on May 5, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Angela Horvath and Joseph Horvath; and her granddaughter Brenna McMenamey. She is survived by: her husband Bill of Michael's Church; her children, Cathy DeCarle (Joe), Patricia Carpenter (Paul), William McMenamey III (Anne), Robert McMenamey (Maureen) and Shaun McMenamey (Suzanne); her grandchildren, Wesley Carpenter (Melissa), Lane Carpenter (Shannon), Grant Carpenter (Laura), Case Carpenter (Olivia), Joseph DeCarle, Lauren Gimber (Alex), Kelly Perkins (Mike), Christopher McMenamey, Bill McMenamey IV, Colin McMenamey, Patrick McMenamey, Dylan McMenamey, Jack McMenamey and Brooke McMenamey; and her great grandchildren, Tenley, Cecelia, Whit Carpenter, Myles, Greyson Carpenter, Rowan, Quinn, Cameron Perkins, Emmett and Peyton Shirley Gimber.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home (419 White Plains Rd, Trumbull, CT 06611). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Christ the King Church (4700 Madison Ave, Trumbull, CT 06611). A burial will be held on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 at 53 Middlebrooks Ave, Trumbull, CT 06611.
