She was predeceased by: her parents, Juan Z. Ruiz Acevedo and Martina Mendoza Acevedo. She is survived by: her husband Edwin F. Torres; her children, Dr. Lizbeth M. Torres of Stamford and Alex J. Torres of Meriden; and her siblings, Ana Ruiz of Puerto Rico, Luz Ruiz of Puerto Rico, Carmen Ruiz of Puerto Rico, Rosa Ruiz of Puerto Rico, Adalberto Ruiz of Puerto Rico, Sonia Ruiz of Puerto Rico and Carlos Ruiz of Puerto Rico. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wallingford Funeral Home (809 N Main Street Ext, Wallingford, CT 06492). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Rose of Lima Church (35 Center St, Meriden, CT 06450).
