It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ivan Otto Capella of Trumbull, Connecticut, who passed away on May 16, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosendo Capella and Sara Waldina Portuondo; and his sisters, Dora Capella (Arrabal) and Sara Li Capella (Salazar). He is survived by: his wife Frances Elena Capella (DeLucia); his children, Rob Capella (Mia), Lynn Holmquist (Peter) and Karen Marchetti (Gian Marco); and his grandchildren, Sara, Jenna, Stephen, Emma, William, Ellen, Lorenzo, Giorgio and Victoria. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many relatives.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home (419 White Plains Rd, Trumbull, CT 06611). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Catherine of Siena Church (200 Shelton Rd, Trumbull, CT 06611).
