With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard J. Gydus of Shelton, Connecticut, who passed away on May 19, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gydus and Ethel Gydus (Gall). He is survived by: his wife Marlene Gydus; his children, Ron Gydus (Liz) and Holly Rogers (Michael); his grandchildren, Audrey, Claire, Lila Rogers, Brock and Chase Gydus; and his brother Thomas Gydus (Ann). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Riverview Funeral Home (390 River Rd, Shelton, CT 06484). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions are encouraged to a Scholarship Fund to benefit Emmett O'Brien Technical School that is being established.
