He was predeceased by: his parents, Venancio Garay of Salinas and Carmen DeJesus-Garay of Salinas; his brother Francisco Garay of Bridgeport; and his nieces, Deborah Garay (DeeDee) of Bridgeport, Connecticut. and Robin Garay of Bridgeport, Connecticut..
He is survived by: his children, Christine Lenore Smith, LoRaine Jeanne Garay-Mendez of Myrtle Beach, Lisa Diane DiSiero of West Haven, Divina Michelle Heche of St. Petersburg, Luis Alejandro Garay of Milford and Michael Garay of Coco Beach, Florida.; his siblings, Damaso Garay of Milford, John Garay of New Haven and Lydia Garay-Martinez of Orlando Florida; and his friend Kathleen Garay-Kern (Andy Kern). He is also survived by spouses, his six children, son in laws, 10 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Luis's memory to a Christian church or ministry of your choosing, with a robust outreach ministry serving the "at-risk and underserved" populations among us.
