She was predeceased by: her mother Natalie. She is survived by: her husband Roger Wingate; her children, Kendra (Daniel), Brett (Nikki), Jason and Tate (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Britton, Barrett, Taylor, Bowen, Ashton, Amber, Skylar, Shaylor, Cailey, Casey, Hudson, Chase and Torin; and her great grandchild Blake.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Greenfield Hill Congregational Church (1045 Old Academy Rd, Fairfield, CT 06824). A burial will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at the Oak Lawn Cemetery (1530 Bronson Rd, Fairfield, CT 06824).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Valerie's memory to either a beautiful Wingate Family dogwood tree we are purchasing, and will be planting in her name, at our lovely Greenfield Hill Congregational Church Memorial Garden, as they celebrate their 300 year anniversary. Donations for this will be handled by her Grandson Barrett, Owner of Bollinger Landscaping, 203.726.0232 or donate to your favorite Animal Rescue Organization, a cause close to her heart.
