He was predeceased by: his parents, Yale Friedman and Sarah Mocher; and his sister Frances Golden. He is survived by: his wife Elaine Manasevit of Bridgeport; his children, Dorian (Sander Lurie) of Washington, DC, Amanda (Jonathan Cohen) of Parkland, FL and James (Alison Needle) of New York City; his grandchildren, Mara Lurie, Madeline Cohen, William Friedman and Jack Friedman; his siblings, Mark Friedman and Eunice Silverman; his nieces, Rita Gelman, Sandra Friedman, Nedra Friedman and Sharon Hirshik; his nephew Richard Golden; his caregivers, Bob, Michael Antwi, Christopher Harvey and Yomara Contreras; and also Veronica Tracey.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 22nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Congregation B'Nai Israel Park (2710 Park Ave, Bridgeport, CT 06604). A burial will be held on Sunday, June 22nd 2025 from 11:45 AM to 12:45 PM at the B'Nai Israel Cemetery (472 Moose Hill Rd, Monroe, CT 06468). A shiva will be held on Sunday, June 22nd 2025 from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Congregation B'Nai Israel Park (2710 Park Ave, Bridgeport, CT 06604).
