He was predeceased by: his wife Sheila Rogers Dean; his parents, George Dean and Catherine Gilronin Dean; his brothers, George Dean and Brian Dean; and his brother-in-law Charles Tyrell.
He is survived by: his children, James Dean Jr. (Jennifer) of Stamford and Christine Dean (Brett) of Milford; his granddaughter Reilly Hungerford of Milford; and his siblings, Robert Dean (Maureen) of Albany and Kathy Tyrell of North Carolina. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home (291 Bridgeport Ave, Milford, CT 06460). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St Mary's Cemetery (425 Buckingham Ave, Milford, CT 06460).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans in memory of James.
