It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Raleigh Metz Sr. of Wilton, Connecticut, who passed away on June 23, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen; his sons, Richard and Ryan; his children-in-law, Susi and Jennifer; his grandchildren, Shea, Riley and Dylan; and his siblings, John, Cecilia and Robert. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and countless lifelong friends.
A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Our Lady of Fatima Church (229 Danbury Rd, Wilton, CT 06897). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at the Willowbrook Cemetery (395 Main St, Westport, CT 06880).
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Dick Metz—a longtime champion of cancer research—can be made in support of Melanoma and Brain Metastasis Research at the Yale Cancer Center.
