He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Van Gessel and Frances Van Gessel (Van Luyn); his wife Jessica; and his siblings, Bill Van Gessel, Eunice Mitus (Van Gessel), Ed Van Gessel, Fran Van Gessel, Jerry Van Gessel and Robert Van Gessel.
He is survived by: his children, David Van Gessel (Frances), Douglas Van Gessel (Arline) and Ann Loughran (Peter). He is also survived by his seven grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Holy Spirit (403 Scofieldtown Rd, Stamford, CT 06903).
