He is survived by: his wife Gladys Washington of New Haven, CT.; his children, Lakeshia Gray (Dante) of New Haven, CT, Theresa Seawright (Matt) of Trumbull, CT, Richard Washington Jr. of New Haven, CT and Darnell Washington (Nicole) of Derby, CT.; his siblings, Mary Elizabeth Generette, Charles Bolden (Betty), James Nance, Joyce Ross-Dupree, Sherman Ross, Johnny Stroud (Suzanne), Greg Stroud, Cherisa Lloyd Streater, Tina Streater, Jeffrey Wilkins (Earline), Scott Young, Angelo Turner and Anthony Rorie; his sisters-in-law, Loretta Bolden and Lottie Bolden; and his close friends, Royden and Carl.
Viewing will be held on Friday, August 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Breakthrough Church (481 Shelton Ave, Hamden, CT 06514). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, August 15th 2025 at the State Veterans Cemetery (317 Bow Ln, Middletown, CT 06457).
