With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Patrick Hayden of Southbury, Connecticut, who passed away on August 7, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Hayden and Elizabeth Hayden (Isaacs); and his siblings, Richard, Elmer, Robert, Donald Hayden and Isabelle Joyce.
He is survived by: his wife Valerie Hayden (Frost); his sons, Garry Hayden (Ellie), Patrick Hayden (Kimberly) and Geoffrey Hayden (Jeannine); his grandchildren, Christopher, Jonathan Hayden, Emily Rose, Michael Flavin, Meghan Ball, Sean Flavin, Andrew, Ashley Hayden, Emily Riahi, Taylor Hayden, Cassidy Rajchel and Brendan Dickinson; his great grandchildren, Danny, Jacob, Emily, Dylan, Emerson, Dean, Drew, Miles, Avash, Caelan, Brian, Adrian, Luke, Ronan, Molly and Jade; and his brothers-in-law, Geoffrey and Philip Frost of England. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. St. Peters Cemetery (219 Derby Ave, Derby, CT 06418).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association CT Chapter.
