He is survived by: his brother Charles (Mary Galanek) of Stratford; his niece Michelle Galanek; his great-nephew Noah; his niece Barbara Kallay (Robert); his great-niece Heather; and his sibling's children, Charles, Thomas and Denise Galanek.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home (2611 Main St, Stratford, CT 06615). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Michael the Archangel Church (305 Pulaski St, Bridgeport, CT 06608). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at the St. John Cemetery (2610 Nichols Ave, Stratford, CT 06614).
His contributions to both his family and his country will echo long after his departure from this world.
