It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Andrew John Wainacht of Darien, Connecticut, born in Norwalk, Connecticut, who passed away on August 8, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Wainacht and Theresa Hornyak Wainacht; and his brother James. He is survived by: his wife Sharon McManus Wainacht of Darien; his children, Milissa Brigante (Daniel) of Old Saybrook, CT, Andrew Wainacht (Kim) of Putnam, CT, Suzanne Silverman (Richard) of Norwalk, CT and Brittany Hasak (Zachary) of Trumbull, CT.; and his grandchildren, Brennan, Kaleigh, Andrew (Emily), Spencer, Rebecca (Christopher), Tyler (Alessandra), Ryan (Rochelle), Harper and Amelia. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lawrence Funeral Home (2119 Post Rd, Darien, CT 06820).
