The memory of William Devalt Jr. of Stratford, Connecticut, who passed away on August 12, 2025 at the age of 86, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, William J. Devalt Sr. and Agnes Devalt (Pruzinsky); his daughters, Bethany Claire Devalt and Robin Devalt (Pickard); his nephew Michael Mackie; and his close friend Stanley Milas.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Devalt (Banks Gorton); his children, Adam Devalt (Beth), Amanda (Gorton), Malota (Carl) and Daniel Gorton (Amanda Catherine); his grandchildren, Gwendolyn, Moriah, Danielle (Bailey), Brennan, Ean, Sophia and Owen; his great grandchildren, Claire, Ashton and Bill; his sibling's children, Tommy, Fletcher, John and Christine; his sister-in-law Linda (Jeff); his son-in-law Sean; and also, Joan Mackie and Barbara Csizmar.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home (399 White Plains Rd, Trumbull, CT 06611). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mark's Church (500 Wigwam Ln, Stratford, CT 06614). He has mended porcelain dolls or cat statues, built a doll house, helped with Boy Scout Derby race cars, built a barn for his John Deere equipment, crafted a Halloween candy chute during COVID, and has helped with many school projects including his famous Conestoga wagon model.
