With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Larry L. Bentley (Norwalk, Connecticut), born in Jacksonville, Florida, who passed away on August 18, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Larry has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his mothers, Emma Meeks Bentley and Norwalk; and his brother Ronald F. Meeks. He is survived by: his wife Geneva Holsey Bentley; and his sister Deborah Ann Edmondson (Herbert). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bethel A. M. E. Church (19 Academy St, Norwalk, CT 06850). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location. An entombment will be held on Tuesday, August 26th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at the Willowbrook Cemetery (395 Main St, Westport, CT 06880).
