He was predeceased by: his parents, Domingos Vaz and Ana Luiza Gomes; and his sisters, Diolinda and Maria. He is survived by: his daughters, Ana Marie Gomes (Gualberto) of Milford, CT, Aida Gallagher (Shaun) of Cheshire, CT and Julieta Russitano (Jeff) of Cheshire, CT.; and his grandchildren, Jeffrey, Ryan, Gabrielle, Katie, Christopher and Daniel.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 29th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home (615 S Main St, Cheshire, CT 06410). A Mass will be held on Friday, August 29th 2025 at 11:15 AM at the St. Bridget of Sweden Parish (175 Main St, Cheshire, CT 06410).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Franciscan Home Care and Hospice Care (https://franciscanhc.org), 267 Finch Avenue, Meriden, CT.
