With sadness, we share the passing of Arlene Clancy of Shelton, Connecticut. Arlene, born on November 28, 1930, passed away on June 12, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband James J. Clancy; her parents, Joseph Navarre and Mabel Navarre (Chadwick); her stepsiblings, William, Robert Crosson and Mary Eberle; her siblings-in-law, Mary and George; her son-in-law Stephen Sorak, III; and her grandson-in-law Blake.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Brianne, Stephanie, Holly, Stephen, Nancy, Matthew, Erik, Jared, Kristy, Amanda, Emily, Catheryn, Gillian, William, Jesse, Zachary, Addyson, Mikhalia, AmityRaye, Delia, Wayne, Chelby, Carly and Jake; and her stepsister Pat Cleary (Frank). She is also survived by twenty-four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 16th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Riverview Funeral Home (390 River Rd, Shelton, CT 06484). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, June 17th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph Church (50 Fairmont Pl, Shelton, CT 06484). A burial was held on Wednesday, June 17th 2026 at the Mt. St. Peter Cemetery (219 New Haven Ave, Derby, CT 06418).
