We announce the death of John Andrews of Trumbull, Connecticut, who passed away on June 18, 2026, at the age of 82. John will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Yusuf Uyar and Hilen Uyar. He is survived by: his wife Paula Renzo Andrews; his children, John Andrews (Ana), Joseph Andrews (Naomi), Paula Valle (Orlando) and Layla Pellegrino (John); his grandchildren, Alexa of Corrinne, J. J., Alyssa, Melina, Elena, Orly and Bella; and his siblings, Cevdet Uyar (Yememi), Frieda Ozdemir (George) and Hanni Eftin. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Church (5458 Park Ave, Bridgeport, CT 06604). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, June 24th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery (1056 Daniels Farm Rd, Trumbull, CT 06611).
