She is survived by: her husband Michael; her children, Shana Kersten (Timothy), Marisa Scola (Christopher Shakalis), Michael Fortunato, Jacqueline Fortunato and Mark Fortunato; and her sisters, Gayle Genn (Joshua) and Sandy Mangini (Greg). She is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.
A procession will be held on Friday, April 24th 2026 at 1:15 PM at the Leaving the Funeral Home (2030 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735). Visitation will be held on Friday, April 24th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Vernon C. Wagner Funeral Homes (125 W Old Country Rd, Hicksville, NY 11801). A reception will be held on Saturday, April 25th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Fuenral Home. A burial will be held on Saturday, April 25th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Leaving the Funeral Home (2030 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735).
