In the sacred silence of farewell, Dorothy is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Dorothy's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Peter Allex Jr. and Dorothy Allex; her sister Joyce Gerstmann (James J. Casey); and her daughter-in-law Denise Casey. She is survived by: her son James P. Casey; her granddaughters, Amanda Casey and Kyra Viola (Salvatore); her great grandchild Francesco Viola; and her brothers, Harry Peter Allex III and Kenneth Allex. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the New Hyde Park Funeral Home (506 Lakeville Rd, New Hyde Park, NY 11040). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Holy Spirit R. C. Church (500 Jericho Turnpike, New Hyde Park, NY 11040).
