It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mildred Fortunato (East Meadow, New York), who passed away on August 23, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Anthony and Filomena; her husband Tom; and her brother Jimmy. She is survived by: her children, Laura and Anthony; her grandchildren, Tommy, Kelly, James, Jake, Philip and Madelyn; and her great grandchildren, TJ, Joey, Roman, Francesca, Serafina and James Jr.. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Leo F. Kearns Funeral Home (445 E Meadow Ave, East Meadow, NY 11554). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St Raphael's RC Church (600 Newbridge Rd, East Meadow, NY 11554). A burial will be held on Wednesday, August 27th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the St. Charles Cemetery (2015 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital (https://www.stjude.org), where Millie donated to for the last 25 years.
