He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Hester and Opal Burklow Hester; his brother Allen; and his children, Livia, John Scott, Nick Hester (Jody) and Caroline Fields.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Saikley Hester; his grandchildren, Ian, Ella Scott, Layla Fields, Abigail, Nicholas and Joseph Hester; his brother Gary Hester (Ramona); his siblings-in-law, Abbie Small (Jeff) and Saikley (Alexandra); his godsons, Jeff Sankey and Mark Yazge; Anthony Yazge. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, June 14th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, June 15th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Monday, June 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. George Orthodox Church (1900 S 4th St, Terre Haute, IN 47802).
