He is survived by: his sister Connie VanBruwaene of Mercer Island, Washington; his nieces and nephews, Mike VanBruwaene (Monica), Debbie Watt, Susan Chandler, Karen McAvinew and Kelly Brin; his great-nephew Michael VanBruwaene; and his great-nieces, Ellie, Katie Watt, Sydney McAvinew and Natalie Brin.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. (3030 7th Ave, Rock Island, IL 61201). A prayer will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Pius X Catholic Church (2502 29th Ave, Rock Island, IL 61201). A burial will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at the St. Joseph Cemetery (2315 Monmouth Blvd, Galesburg, IL 61401).
