She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard David and Lila Johnston David; her husband Howard Melchi (Bob); and her siblings, Pat Johnston, Larry David and Mike David.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Vallejo (Diane), Connie Laud (Bryce), Johnny Vallejo, Patti Ciccomoscolo (Dan), Larry Vallejo, Chrissy Lilliman (Bill) and Celeste Favela (Adan); her grandchildren, Alicia Vallejo, Alex Vallejo, Jason DeLaCruz (Amanda), Michael DeLaCruz, Wade Laud, Jessica Turner (Dorian), T. J. Lilliman (Tracey), Ashley Chumbley (Josh), Lyndsay Lilliman, Heather, Audrey Favela, Angela (Scott), Jack Wells and Cassandra Stubbs; and her goddaughter Vicki Gomez. She is also survived by 36 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Rock Island National Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, May 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Fraternal Order of Eagles (911 Mansur Ave, Carbon Cliff, IL 61239).
