He is survived by: his daughter Glenda Kemnitz (John); his grandchildren, Joe Thomas (Makayla Humphrey), Sam Thomas, Jane Thomas and Mary Thomas; and his brother Douglas Scherer (Terri). He is also survived by many friends and caregivers.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory - Rock Island (3030 7th Ave, Rock Island, IL 61201). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
