We bid farewell to Eugene E. Tschopp of Coal Valley, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 18, 2025 at the age of 96. Eugene touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Reinhard Tschopp and Helen Tschopp (Burgey); his wife Barbara; his son Darin Tschopp; and his siblings, Luella Mielke, Leona Baraks, Norma Bailey, Reinhard, Orville and Raymond Tschopp.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Tschopp (Cathy), Mary Ellyn Wolfe (Donald), Mark Tschopp (Linda Patch) and Matthew Tschopp (Jerrianne); and his grandchildren, Nathanial Wolfe (Carmen), Hillary DeBlieck (Jonathan), Kimberly Carmichael (Jason), Jacob Tschopp (Kristine) and Kyle Tschopp (Ashley Stewart). He is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
A masonic service was held on Monday, May 19th 2025 at 9:30 AM and on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Eureka Lodge #69 (414 1st St W, Milan, IL 61264). Visitation was held on Monday, May 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Monday, May 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory (6601 38th Ave, Moline, IL 61265).
