He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Silas (Mattie Harper) and Mattie Haper; and his brothers, William M. Silas and Mark Anthony Johnson. He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Silas; his children, LaTonya Flowers, Eric Johnson, Demetrius Johnson (Chanda), Jimeshia Hutton (Winston), Willie Silas (Jasmine) and Azerbaijan Silas; his stepdaughter Caprishon Moore; and his brothers, Melvin Silas Jr. and Freddy Mae Haynes. He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. (3030 7th Ave, Rock Island, IL 61201).
