It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Marlene French of Dixon, Illinois, who passed away on July 5, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Betty leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene French and Margarete French (Farmer); and her sister Mary Jane Egger. She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Robert Kopel, Jerry Kopel, Nancy Spencer, Crystal Gooch and Tim Egger.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, Ltd. (1902 3rd Ave, East Moline, IL 61244). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
