He was predeceased by: his mother Alma Mae Sloan (Koenig); his daughter Debbra Carpenter; his parent Frisby Sloan; and his siblings, Fred Sloan, Shirley Verschore, Elizabeth Baumbach and Barbara Sloan.
He is survived by: his wife Terri; his children, Gregory Sloan, Danya Carton (Dave), Stephen Sloan (Lisa), Elizabeth Dobbels (Scott) and Angela Sloan (Chris Soppe); his sisters, Karen Sampson and Sharon Sloan; and his cousin Kay Wilson. He is also survived by 72 grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
