It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jon R. Ellstrom of East Moline, Illinois, who passed away on July 31, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jon R. Ellstrom to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard H. Ellstrom and Janet M. Ellstrom (Diffenbaugh). He is survived by: his wife Cindi K. Thiem; his daughters, Tera Bender (Josh) and Erica Hoskins (Ben); his grandchildren, Brenna, Nolan, Evan Hoskins, Nora, Allison, Olivia Bender and Taylor Ellstrom; his pet Bella; his siblings, LuAnn Woodhouse and Richard Ellstrom; his mother-in-law Nancy Hull; and his siblings-in-law, Deb Schneider (Terry), Lisa Isbell (Bruce Shappard) and Micky T. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Rock Island National Cemetery. A reception will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the East End Club (3712 4th Ave, Moline, IL 61265).
