He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Trone and Vivian Trone (Fuqua); his sister Lisa Trone; and his grandson Ellis Poling. He is survived by: his wife Sue; his stepsons, Jacob Poling (Gwen) of Hopkins and Andrew Poling (Kim) of Normal; and his grandchildren, Miles, June Poling, Owen, Taryn, Louis Poling, Delaney, Hudson and Beau Croft. He is also survived by his family, friends.
A reception will be held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Trimble Funeral Home & Crematory - Moline (701 12th St, Moline, IL 61265).
To honor his wish to "pay it forward," the family asks that, in lieu of flowers, friends consider donating blood to ImpactLife or any other blood donation organization. For those unable to give blood, memorial contributions may be made to the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Iowa.
