It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stewart L. Adams (Rock Island, Illinois), born in Moline, Illinois, who passed away on September 6, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Stewart departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Stewart. Though Stewart may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henrietta Adams (Jones) and Robert Adams Jr.; and his brother Scott Adams. He is survived by: his siblings, Steven, Robert (Elizabeth), Sidney Adams (Theresa) and Sherry Adams.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. (3030 7th Ave, Rock Island, IL 61201). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Grace Church (2324 18th Ave, Rock Island, IL 61201).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Illinois State University in care of the Dr. Stewart L. Adams Scholarship.
