He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hourigan and Ella Hourigan (Glanz); his wife Catherine Elliott; and his sisters, Joan Wolf and Mary Spiegel.
He is survived by: his children, Catherine Pilaszewski (Steven), John Hourigan (Barbara) of Oak Creek, WI, Dr. James Hourigan (Sheila) of Johnston, IA and Claire Chouinard (Scott) of New Boston, NH; his grandchildren, Robert, Sarah, John, Patrick, Evan, Betsy, Ryan, Collin, Charles and William; Richard Hourigan (Judy).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Rafferty Funeral Home (2111 1st Street A a, Moline, IL 61265, USA). A Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Church - Moline (1307 17th Ave, Moline, IL 61265).
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Alleman High School.
