He was predeceased by : his parents, Hugo Schumacher and Hilda Schumacher; his sister Martha; and his brother-in-law Jerry Belza. He is survived by : his wife Janet; his children, Ken Schumacher (Catherine), Janice Schultz (Ron), Joanne Yonker (William) and Carol Riha (Jim); his grandchildren, Amy Newell (Phil), Kyle Schumacher, Sarah Heep (Steve), Lauren Schultz, Ryan Schultz, Rebecca Vachio (Tyler), Abigail Yonker, Joshua Yonker (Emma), Eric Riha, Adam Riha and Jason Riha; his great grandchildren, Madison, Brooklyn, Nathan, Eloise and Faith; his sister Nancy; and his brother-in-law Art Gehrs. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 7th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Knollcrest Funeral Home (1500 S Meyers Rd, Lombard, IL 60148). The lying in state will be held on Monday, January 8th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (1165 S Westmore-Meyers Rd, Lombard, IL 60148). A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 8th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
