It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Wede of Oak Brook, Illinois, who passed away on January 23, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, George Wede and Vernetta Wede; and his brother Robert Wede (Jan). He is survived by : his wife Josephine (Joan); his children, Vickie, Bob, Laura Current (Gary), Susan Druffel (John) and Jim (Nicole); his grandchildren, Megan (Tyler), Maggie (Alex), Michael, Bridget, Katie, Matthew, Sarah, Joe, Teagan, Jake and Ben; and his great grandchildren, Grant and Theo.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 26th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Elmhurst Community Funeral Home – the Ahlgrim Chapel (567 Spring Rd, Elmhurst, IL 60126). A mass of christian burial will be held on Friday, January 26th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Catholic Church (779 S York St, Elmhurst, IL 60126).
