With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vernon L. Sellars of Joliet, Illinois, who passed away on January 31, 2024 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his sons, Michael Sellars and David Sellars; his step-father Charles Blackman; his mother Dorothy Blackman; and his sisters, Brenda Sanders and Gayla Snell.
He is survived by : his wife Delores Sellars; his son Vernon Sellars (Roxanne); his grandson Michael Sellars; and his siblings, Chuck Blackman, Sherie Copple, Dottie Matthews and Mary Litteker. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 5th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel (102 East Francis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 5th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, February 5th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Elmhurst Cemetery (1212 E Washington St, Joliet, IL 60433).
