She was predeceased by : her parents, Kenneth Taylor and Willie Mae Taylor; her husband Collis R Jones, Sr.; her daughter Carolyn Denise Jones; her granddaughter Ashley Nichole Wooten; and her siblings, Betty Sue Willis (Forrest), Katherine Taylor Bell, Joyce Davis (Willis) and Fred Earl Taylor.
She is survived by : her children, Sharon McFarland (Michael) of Normal, IL, Collis Jones (Stefanie) of Clarksburg, MD and Micheal Jones (Melissa) of Bloomington, IL; her grandchildren, Courtney Denise Heiskell, Christopher Dewayne Wooten, Camryn Danielle Jones and Cai Duncan Jones; her siblings, Lee Taylor of Joliet, IL, Johnny Taylor (late Kathy) of Hazel Crest, IL, Carolyn Tucker and Sharie Route (Anthony) of Joliet, IL; her close friends, Carolyn Davis and Eddie B Edwards of Joliet, IL; and her niece Angela Willis. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 24th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church (402 Singleton Pl, Joliet, IL 60436). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, March 24th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, March 25th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Elmhurst Cemetery (1212 E Washington St, Joliet, IL 60433).
