It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Mae Grane Tomei Lanham (Lombard, Illinois), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on July 6, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Anastasia "Sally" Grane (Pohrebny) and Hubert "Buzz" Grane; and her brother Hubert "Bud" Grane Jr.. She is survived by : her husband Charles W. Lanham; her brothers, Thomas Grane (Judy) of Stuart, Frederick Grane (Mary Ellen) of Elmhurst and Wayne Grane (Antoinette) of Hobe Sound, Florida.; her children, Sally Clifton (William) of Bella Vista, Gigi Tomei of Necedah, Davide Jr. Tomei (Evelyn) of Ooltewah, Barri Marion (Kevin) of Vernon Hills and Duke Tomei (Margaret); and her grandchildren, Katherine Clifton Peters (Daniel), Clay Clifton, Trent Marion, Marlo Marion Schmitt (David), Savanna Tomei (Brian Olson), Davide Tomei III (Lacey Zellmer), Zachary Chase, Rachael Chase, Jacqueline Tomei, Tori Tomei and Donald Tomei.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 12th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, July 13th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Knollcrest Funeral Home (1500 S Meyers Rd, Lombard, IL 60148). A prayer will be held on Saturday, July 13th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Saturday, July 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lord Catholic Church (314 Summit Ave, Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181).
