He was predeceased by : his parents, Harry and Abigail; and his brother John Thanos. He is survived by : his wife Bernadine "Bernie" Steffen; his daughters, Lisa Thanos Harrod (Jason) of Manteno and Rebecca Thanos Benson (Eric) of Elmhurst; his brother Daniel Thanos (Rhonda) of Arizona; his grandchildren, Nathan Harrod, Connor Harrod, Karlie Harrod, Paul Benson, Peter Benson and Maggie Benson; and his sister-in-law Kathy Hincks of Chicago.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 18th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Manteno - Clancy-Gernon Funeral Homes, Inc. (291 N Main St, Manteno, IL 60950). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Church (207 S Main St, Manteno, IL 60950).
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
